Filter to suppress buggy controller

I may be mis-interpreting the point of the filter, but… I just picked up a used keyboard to replace my failing primary unit, and it is sending a near-constant ping on Controller 4 (the foot controller). Must be a bad port on the board. Can I apply a global filter to suppress that channel? It’s totally wigging out a few of my plugins.

Thanks!
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

You sure can. It needs to placed at the very beginning of the MIDI input chain for that keyboard. So go to Tools>Options>MIDI Ports and pick you new keyboard then select Edit. Next find the MIDI Filters button for that window and select it. Then add a supression filter for controller 4. Click Ok and exit out to the song level and you should be rid of CC4 from that source.

Hope this helps.
