Failed to start audio driver - error 13101

Hi, just installed Cantabile and I get the above error when trying to start the app.

OS is Windows 10 Pro V2004
Interface is Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen - firmware 1051, Focusrite ASIO driver v4.65.5 (latest version)
No issues with other apps that use this driver (Reaper DAW, Guitar Rig 5, Scuffham S-Gear, Gig Performer).
I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the focusrite drivers but it hasn’t helped.

Below are the relevant entries from the Cantabile log file:

Any assistance appreciated

Hey @Blister…not sure if you are running the latest version or not, but as a possible suggestion, try an earlier version to see if that fixes the issue. If not, you should message @brad and see what he has to say. @brad is always making improvements and often times, the new versions have a few wrinkles that Brad usually irons out quickly. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge on Focusrite gear can help, but I would try the earlier version approach first. When the current version becomes stable, you can always upgrade.

Even better, send to Brad the complete logs

cpaolo…most likely @brad will request them, but Blister may get some quick results by trying a previous version. Brad is always willing to help, but it could also be helpful to Brad to know if trying a previous version alleviated the issue. If Blister is not running the latest stable version, then a quick retro to that version may fix the issue. If he is on a stable version, then Brad might be the next step unless somebody else can help.

Basically that error means the driver is failing. Unfortunately there’s not much feedback on why. My best first guess would be the driver’s either in use, or not correctly installed.

Thanks all for the pointers. I uninstalled, deleted all folders and registry settings, and reinstalled.
Audio engine is now running.

Cheers
