I have two plugins of Nam2 parallel in the chain. often cracks etc in the sound. in the profiler I see that Nam A2 uses a lot of the performance. then they both sit at 21+% and evrything in the timeline has turned red. Is there something I can do to optimize this?
My system is win11 pro, 32Gb mem, amd 64 23/113 3.6GHz 16 cores
I assume you mean the Gateway plugin - correct?
On my system (Intel, 3.2 GHz, 24 cores), the Gateway plugin goes to roughly 5% on average, with a max of 7% with “full” NAM A2 captures. No problems at all with crackling etc.
Not sure if there are issues with the Gateway plugin on AMD?
Have you tried setting the Gateway plugin to “slimmed” NAM A2 (“Slim” dial turned left)? In this config, I get an average of 1.6% utilization, with a neglegible loss of quality (at least for live use).
