Distorted/Buzz anytime I maximize any program on my Windows11 PC

When ever I have a program on my Windows 11 machine it screws up the plugins sound on cantible. I’m using Pianoteq 9 (And Rhodes Anthology) and Focurite 18i16 with voicemeeter banana.

For example:
I open Cantible lite → load my plugins → start playing with no other programs maximized → plays perfectly

IF: I open Cantible lite → load my plugins → maximize Chrome (for example, or even Notepad) → start playing → the sound is distorted

Literally the only thing keeping me from upgrading…

Do you know how/what causes this?

AFAIK, there is a buzzing issue when Cantabile is minimized and Voicemeeter is used, as you can see in this thread:

I have been using Voicemeeter with Cantabile for a long time and everything was working fine. I finally decided to update to latest both programs and since then I’ve been having problems. Everything works fine on Cantabile when the program is on the foreground, but as soon as I minimize it, my voice turns into a robot in about 5 seconds. I’m using a buffer size of 128 and a sample rate of 48000. Every settings seems to be matching everywhere.

The two issues could be related, IMO.
What are the sampling rate and buffer size you are using?
