I have a single vst and a single midi keyboard. I would like to know if you can set a volume to a specific range of keys and a different volume to the rest of the keys.

The only tools you have in this case is velocity. So you would leave the zone you want to be loudest alone but filter the velocity for the other keys so the same strike comes out quieter. Another thought is that if you had just the one Vsti you could have 2 instances in the song with different levels set and 2 different ranges set.
