There are definitely the Best I ever played with ! Do you know if we could play them properly if we upgrade to B5 v. 3 ?
Not really, because some of the parameters changed with v3. BUT, I will go back and re-do for v3, because I use them too. Version 3 really kicks ass on the ones I took from v2. Give me some time, and I will repost for v3. I have a few projects to complete 1st, AND some new presets to post!

GSI is updating VB3 II sometime this spring. Here is the announcement they made:

A quick update from our office. Rather than updating VB3-II, we decided that, given the amount of modification the product required (many of which have been suggested by users), it is wiser to rewrite it completely from the ground up. So here we are: the main screen remains the same, while the edit screens no longer open in new windows, but everything remains contained in the plugin’s main window. New additions include extra parameters as well as new Midi functions. The official release is to be expected later this spring.

I’m having a weird issue with B3X and Cakewalk. I recorded a gospel organ rough track for a guy’s song weeks ago and decided I liked it enough to keep it. So, I went back today and recorded drawbar moves and expression pedal using the mouse for drawbars and my controller’s pedal for the pedal. When you play the track back in real time it’s fine. But when you render the track there’s something interacting with the expression and making it jump all over the place. I remap drawbar 2 to cc13 and expression to cc11 (and can someone please explain to me why that’s not the default??) I have no freaking idea yet what’s up but I’ll tell you when I do…
That’s weird. Did you record the automation accidentally in the organ track?
Well, in Cakewalk that’s where it goes Obviously something is conflicting but it doesn’t do it all the time; that’s the weird part. It’s probably a total glitch- I think Tuesday when I get back to it I’m going to wipte all the controller data and just start over. Although hopefully I can keep the drawbar moves because I like them. I listened closely and realized they are jumping too. I may post it here later so you can hear it…

Very nice Fred. Got that Modern Gospel chord structure going on about the 2 minute mark. I didn’t hear anything weird on the organ part, so did you fix it?
No, that’s the bad one lol You can really tell right when it first comes in but there’s little weird volume jumps all through. I’m probably hyper-sensitive but I can’t have that

Ok. I now hear what you are saying about the volume jumping. Hmmm…strange. I will experiment with it. I don’t use cakewalk, but I can throw it on reaper and see what I get. I haven’t noticed in anything I’ve recorded so far, but you may have discovered a bug. I stay up on the IK forum, and don’t remember anyone reporting this. Will get back to you. That would drive me crazy as well.
I was wondering how you are moving the drawbars. On my controllers , the sliders are not always consistent, and had to use tools within Cantabile to prevent those problems. So, it could be your controller, if you are using one.
Edit: oops just remembered you are using a mouse to move the drawbars. I will give it a try tomorrow, or today, as it now is.
Does it look like a new product with upgrade path to you? It does to me … If he could recapture some of his VB3 original vibe but add some new secret Leslie sauce that would be cool … I used VB3 & VB3 II with IK Leslie before B-3X and it was pretty good.
That is what I am hoping Dave. That short video showed a different menu scheme. I think they have many complaints since B3-X popped up. They said it was a completely new build, but the GUI looked the same. I hope they do a free upgrade, but I would bet good money they won’t. Guess we will find out soon. Fingers crossed it is based on VB3 1.4. I know I complained about many things, and they listened, but kept the Leslie the same, which is ok, but not enough parameters to dial in a tone like B3-X.
I moused the drawbars and used a controller for the expression. Thing is though, the envelopes themselves are right. Somewhere it seems there’s a conflicting set of data/envelopes that only comes into play on bouncing. Very crazy. I’ll figure it out though!
