I dare them to ask me to turn it down
Don’t forget your chainsaw…I think they might need a new doorway
With all the pipes and the organ itself…I dare them to even find you to ask you to turn it down
I think I read that one of the ranks is literally louder than a train horn and holds a Guinness record for loudest organ rank.

I haven’t found dimensions for the hall but judging from photos it looks like some of the pipes are at least 100 feet away from the keyboard (100ms latency), lol.
And that’s just for the keyboards and stop controllers!
“The electric blowers that power the organ approach 1,000 horsepower.” (a modern electric motor of this power weighs over 6 tons not including the blower)
If the future 3D holographic/tactile glove enabled Cantabile has controller themes I will use the WLPO (Worlds Largest Pipe Organ) theme to control all my VSTs
Well @brad has a lot of work ahead to achieve this! Shall we post the idea in Trello?
I could do it.

VB3-II UPDATE 2.3.1
What’s new in Version 2.3.1
- All file exporters now select a default file name
- Session Recorder icon now flashes while a Midi File is playing
- Bubble messages can be clicked/touched to enter the manual value entry form
- Several minor improvements
- Fixed minor issue that could lead to audio silence or crash in very rare circumstances
- Fixed Background Audio switch not working (iPad only)
This update was posted in January, but I just now saw it
I didn’t find enhncement on PC version this time.
Hmm. It said nothing about being for iPad until the very end. I will check deeper when I get some time.
This reminds me of a funny YT series called Tribals
Hi folks
I don’t remember if I posted this already
I have 2 controllers bought to act on my VB-3: MIDIMix and nanoKontrol 2
I was never able to use them in Bitwig Studio; only partially in Ableton Live
I suspect that the MIDImix is faulty because I cannot have the sliders acting on one key-set only: 2 of the sliders activate 2 sliders of the other key-set as well, and the 2 first left slider works in the opposite way (up vs down) compared to the others
I clearly tried a reset and the Editor tool with zero success
Have you ever noticed that?
About the nanoKontrol 2, it has fewer sliders than needed for the VB3
And I don’t remember if it works in Cantabile, so I’ll try it this evening and let you know
No success, as usual
I think I’ll stop using those controllers; too much complex to tame
She was Japanese, not a tribal girl.
Well, I just sold my VB3 licence and bought the Toontrack one, because the latter is well integrated with my Toontrack bass so I can have quickly a proper bassline
What’s your opinion about Session Organ?
All my Hammonds are like having children…they are all different in their own way.
I like all my Hammonds, but some are slightly different, and may take a little more effort finding a perfect tone. I use them all, and I know which ones are easy to dial in, but others may take some time. There are differences in the tone wheels, amp, or Leslie (just like REAL Hammonds).
But, I proved a few years back, with my presets in this thread, they all can come close to what I was seeking.
Again, I love them all, and their differences.
Hi, yesterday I purchased Blue3
I find it is better than the other few Hammond plugins I tested so far, and even if I was able quite easily to map most buttons and sliders in my nanoKONTRL2, there are the 2 couples of commands below that cannot be set independently: any suggestion from the Hammond masters?
I have been using Blue 3 also for jam sessions - it just seems to play well with others
Usually across B3 emulations the drawbars are assigned starting at cc 20
20-28 Lower Drawbars
29-30 Pedal Drawbars
31-40 Upper Drawbars
Finally CC 11 is the default for the Expression Pedal
I try to stick with these defaults as they tend to work across different B3 VST’s
Thanks, I’ll try to set them manually, hoping that this fixes my issue that is the impossibility to have those 4 commands activated by one channel each
I had the same issue in GSI VB3 anyway, so I hope my controller is not a lemon
Nothing to do: as you see below, there are 2 identical drawbars on 2 different channels (33 and 1), but they are both linked to the Mod wheel
After some try I was able to de-link the Chorale/Tremolo from the Mod wheel, but losing the option to use the Mod wheel itself
These controllers make me crazy every time
Here is all you need to know about Organ Technique. A great organist is always busy adjusting drawbars, and vibrato switches, and when to ramp up the Leslie. Notice the finger crawling, the different uses of the lower manual, and the swell pedal.
I grew up hearing this on Sunday Television out of Memphis when I was a kid. I was drawn in to it, and never let it go. I have watched so many blues organists constantly adjusting parameters while they play on Beale Street. I can only wish I could play that well. The last few minutes are amazing.
