Controller Bar - what am I doing wrong?

I set a up a button to issue a controller. I had the button ‘learned’ in bindings. I routed it to the destination. The midi monitor shows the data arriving. The plug in doesn’t respond.
How else does one route a button to a plug in if not through the learn function?
What am I missing?

Sussed it - operator error.
Now all I need is the ‘how do I delete a post’ button. :upside_down:
