I have Tonex running without problems for months - just tested with the latest update (1.11.1) on my studio machine, and no crashes or any other misbehavior. Will give it a bit more testing before putting it on my live machines…

well the solution appeared to be much easier than I expected it to be.. In cantabile I removed the tonex plugin and reinserted it again and then it was ok. So don’t worry

I have been having problems with Amplitube/Tonex for a few weeks. A couple of songs would cause Cantabile to freeze up. They both had Amplitube in them, but other songs with Amplitube did not freeze. No Cantabile crash report with the frozen condition, but logging stopped at the point where I think it was trying to start Amplitube. I had convinced myself that it needed to “phone home”. Very bad thing if you were at a gig with no internet access. After some discussion with IK customer service it appears the you only need to run IK product manager to fix the problem. It does not need to get internet access. I added IK product manager to Cantabile’s setup - “Tools/Options/External Tools”. Seemed to work at home. But at practice last night it froze on the same song that caused me problems in the past. But IK Product Manager wasn’t running. Not sure why. I killed frozen Cantabile, manually started IK product manager (no internet access), and restarted Cantabile. All was well, unlike last week where I simply could not play the affected song no matter how many restart or reboots I tried. I’m not yet 100% convinced it is fixed, but I am hopeful. Not entirely happy about this, but I do love this plugin so I guess I will deal with it.
