Cantabile Webinars Extended! - Topics list and Registration links inside!

I’ve just extended the series out to another ten episodes of Zoom events. If you have an existing email with the link to the session in it, Doug just discovered that all one needs to do is increment the webinar number to the desired/current one and that takes you into the latest webinar, bypassing the need to re-register again for every one of them.

The cool thing about the live sessions has been where we all puzzle through figuring out something together, as all the mics are open so it is like a conversation we’re having in our studios.

The cool thing about the replays is that I’ve edited out the dismal failures!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Often, Mondays focus on capabilities found in both Solo and Performer, while Wednesdays focus on capabilities unique to Performer in many cases. This is not a hard-and-fast rule, so check the descriptions.

Frequent attendee @dsteinschneider discovered something about the link that is emailed out after one registers - you needn’t register over and over again to attend later webinars! Just click the link in that email you have and increment the number to the number of the current webinar, and you will get in!!! (You do have to register once, though… and that puts you on the mailing list to receive the replays by email as well.)

Here they are!

REPLAYS ARE HERE for 1-9 and HERE for 10-20

Webinar 17, Monday, March 29, 2021 at 12:30 PM EST

Webinar 18, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 12:30 PM EST
A final deep dive into how to use the shared resources that are ready-made for us by members of the community, and we’ll bring together our discoveries into issues and problems to consider some guidelines those who wish to share their innovations could follow to guarantee success for others using their offerings.

Because we are using Zoom via my NewZenler school, we need everyone to register and then check their email for the link. (That’s how we’ll get over 40 minutes…)

See you there - I hope everything works!!!

Sorry I’ve not been more engaged. Seems most of my Dr appointments have been Monday mornings, and I was traveling during today’s (Wednesday) Webinar. However, I do catch up, thanks to your posts of each. Many thanks… you have opened my eyes on a few things. I wish these Webinars were available when I started using C3 in 2016. It would have made life much easier.

That’s ok - I’m making the videos “for posterity” AND for you!

(Heck, I’m quite sure you have a posterior… so, there’s that, too.)

Wednesday’s is going to be a dig into using Triggers in Performer, a quick look at creating a “rack of racks” containing abstractions of all the hardware controllers one might have in different locations, a quick look on how to use my pre-existing keyboard controller abstractions and a text editor to create your own (heavy search-and-replace action). As you can see, the turn now is away from theory and into applications.

See you ASAP!

I do have one but Arthur has taken it over.

Monday, March 15, I am going to be discussing the MIDI routings and filter pages. Then at the end we are going to re-visit giving lessons online, using either pure Zoom or a combo of Zoom and OBS. (Did you know OBS can be used AS your camera in Zoom or Skype?)

See above for the registration link, or use the “trick” mentioned in the first post to join us.

Thanks Terry, the filters are much less mysterious for me now :grinning:

And, if all else fails, read the instructions

The next four webinars will discuss using the various shared resources found in our community, with Mondays being devoted to those that can be used by users of Solo or Performer, and Wednesdays discussing only those whose extended bindings capabilities permit them to work in Performer. These will be very “hands-on” and I am excited to indulge in these soon! Thanks to @dave_dore for the topic suggestion!

C3 Utility Racks

C3 Community Racks Exchange

Monday, we will be creating some brand new racks for use in both Solo and Performer, the emphasis being that they work with Solo.
