Sorry if this has been discussed before, I tried to find it in older topics but I couldn’t. Currently, Cantabile 3 crashes on startup every time I don’t have my usual interface plugged into my computer. (I use ASIO4ALL, so Cantabile still sees the same driver but many inputs have just vanished when my interface is not there.) After restarting I can then choose to start Cantabile without starting the audio engine, and then I can edit my racks.I suppose there are two things that can smooth this workflow:
- Adding a tick in the settings screen allowing Cantabile to start without audio engine
- To allow audio inputs to be “missing” or “disconnected” just like MIDI inputs when starting the audio engine. Currently, when I start the audio engine when my MIDI keyboard is not plugged in the engine just starts, but when an audio input is disconnected, when I start the audio engine Cantabile definitely crashes.
