Cantabile 4400 Available Now

Hey All,

I’ve just put up a very experimental first build of Cantabile 4400 series.

The main changes include:

  1. A complete reworking of the way real-time audio graph is constructed and updated (see here)
  2. Support for Global Pre-Rack and Global Post-Rack.
  3. Move to .NET 10
  4. All other recent changes and fixes from 4300 series.

Given the scope of internal changes, this should not be used for anything critical - it almost certainly has serious issues that will need to be stabilized. But, I’m keen to get this into your hands so I can start that stabilization process.

Also, the current ShowNotes2 package doesn’t work with this build. I’m hoping to get a compatible ShowNotes2 bundle out soon.

Build 4404 is up now and addresses a number of issues since 4400.

Build 4405 is out now.

I’m trying to fix all reported issues as quickly as I can - 6 builds in just over 24 hours!

Back pedaling fast… I’m going take down build 4400 for now. If you’re using it, probably best to stop for the moment.

I’ve decided to rework the way the execution plan for the real-time graph is calculated - I’m hoping just a couple of days work, but for the moment please abandon using 44xx series - even for testing.
