Cantabile 3532 Stable

This morning I marked Cantabile 3532 as stable and going forward all new development will be exclusive to that series. For a short time I plan to continue maintaining 32xx series builds - at least until I’m certain 35xx really is stable. After that, 35xx will become the prime focus.

As mentioned elsewhere I’m fairly confident 3532 is stable but it’s not as well tested since not as many people have moved to it. If you experience any problems, please report them and if critical you can revert to 32xx which is still available on the downloads page.

Just downloaded and will test shortly (after I pay my subscription update).

I use it since a few months now with weekly gigs and it works flawlessly on my side!

I’m having an issue where switching back and forth between songs causes C3 to crash. Background rack has forty program change bindings pointing to Set List: Load Song with Program (Instant).
I have 11 songs that have 4 media players each (click runs as master, other 3 are slaved), and 20 songs with just the metronome. All the songs have Song:On Load and Transport:On Play bindings.

It seems to be an intermittent issue, did not occur on 3289 at all.

I had a crash with this build yesterday when switching songs on the song list quite quickly. Indeed by hitting to advance to the next song before the current one is loaded. I’ll see if I have the crash log to send.

Good news. I’m about to begin hammering it, so I’ll make a noise if I find anything nasty.

Just updated to 3532 on both synths. Have used 35xx for a while and it seems fine.

I’ve just put up build 3533 which reverts a change that was introduced with the way audio engine messages are dispatched. This change was never in the 32xx series builds so I’m hoping this is the cause of what you’re describing. Please give it a go and let me know if it improves things.

The only other 35xx issue I’m aware of is a display issue with the plugin edtior toolbar with S-Gear… which I’m still trying to resolve. It’s not critical though.

Please continue to report any issues with 35xx - I’m keen to get it as stable as possible asap.

Got 3533 loaded, so far so good. We practice on Thursday, if it doesn’t do it at all then, I’d say you have it fixed.
I’ll let you know.

Thanks again Brad.

Reporting back, build 3533 stable for a 4 hour marathon practice.
I’d say it’s definitely fixed.

Build 3534 also contains an important fix - it’ll be marked as the next stable build soon.
