Can I switch between songs using midi keyboard buttons in cantabile solo. I tried several binding setups but I cant get it to work

WRT the program changes, a screenshot of the binding window would be exceedingly helpful here.It’s been years since I used solo, but I’m sure someone can pony up some help or clarity.

The quick answer is yes. Use Learn binding, press your controller key, in the target list choose “set list”, and then “previous” or “next song”.

If you have trouble with that perhaps one of our guru’s can send you a screen shot.

You can also directly address a song in the set list without using “next” or “previous” multiple times. Here is an explanation of the different modes:

Hi @scheater5, First, to explain the difference between the bindings: Load By Program - loads the song whose program number matching the value passed from the MIDI event (eg: a program change number, or controller value) Load By Index - loads the song at the index specified by the MIDI event. eg: a program change 2 will load the second song in the set list regardless of its program number. Edit: In order to see the Program Change number associated to song in the Set List, right click on the song in the list and select “Properties”.

I forgot to mention, the binding must go into the background rack so that it applies to all songs.

Thanks for the responses. I got it figured out with a little trial and error. I was watching the video tutorials and the displayed screens on setting up bindings have changed from the video to the way it works today.
