I’m experimenting with MIDI file tempo maps. Am I correct that Cantabile can read a tempo change at a point but not one that is ramped (linear increase over several bars for example)? I created both in Reaper and only the change from one constant tempo to a new constant tempo seemed to work.
Just interpolate it, say in 10 steps or so? Don’t see why that would not work and you won’t hear it - if you do, use more steps 
Agree Tom that the individual points will work fine. I’ve noticed in my tempo mapping of the greats the unintentional changes occur at points such as when the singing starts or when a bridge ends. Then intended tempo changes are often “ramped” to build excitement
