Can anyone recommend a MIDI 'quantiser'?

Thanks. I will take a look at those. It’s good to have options.

The plug-in created by Neil above ‘MIDI Send on Bar’ no longer shows up in Cantabile. Maybe Neil is around? Can anyone help?

hiya!
erm, you have about as much a clue as me then
it was done with Bluecat’s PlugnScript so won’t like Visual Studio.
i’ll have a look and see if i can get it running with the latest PnS as a vst3
cheers,
Neil

try this vst3.
extract to your vst3 folder

Thank you! I decided to buy Plug’n Script. The sooner I learn about this stuff the better.

I have no idea why it disappeared, but no matter what I do it wouldn’t come back.

So grateful to you for this. Do you have a favourite charity I could donate to to show my appreciation?

P.

that’s so kind of you.

the source is the same as before:

i only changed the path to their midi library.
when you launch the PnS plugin and want to work on a script, click the little pencil icon to change to edit mode. then click on the box with the name of the .cxx script on the right to load a new script.

Done.

Tried send on bar this morning.
Works perfectly but it’s only for single note

Could have been great to make chords on perfect time.

And only on time signature … You couldn’t choose anything else.

Thanx anyway.

Still would love a quantize possibility in recording options.

Cantabile is a live performance platform, not a DAW for recording. I don’t feel that quantising really has a place. Recording in Cantabile is a nice option for capturing a raw performance, but that’s as far as it should go, IMHO.

Recording DAWs (Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, etc) offer all the quantising you could ever need, and are more suited to that task.

As to this plug-in… This is a very specific plug-in to do a very specific task. It has been an absolute boon for me.

With Neil’s example Angelscript code above I feel that I could probably add features to this plug-in, or even create a new (though simple) plug-in of my own. It might be worth you having a go too, if you have a need?
