I have just discovered I can run multiple media players per song (yeah I know all you knew this already hahaha!)
This is awesome because I have always missed the immediacy of midi control live when I started using mp3 backing tracks. Now in the past if I wanted tweaks I had open the DAW do the edits, then re-save, then do the converting to MP3 and then re-import to laptop etc etc…
Now in the DAW if I create an MP3 of each PART and not just the whole song, I can load each part into it’s own media player and mute it, change volumes insert effects, whatever at any time, instantly! Also great for when playing live and another player wants to sit in!
