Binding on wiring view question

Hi @Brad, I put this here because I didn’t want to hijack the ongoing thread about wiring view.

My song template is 8 racks, 7 “instruments” feeding an EQ and effects rack and out. Completely mapped to an x-touch mini. I use it for everything and it works great.

My encoders are rack indexed mapped to volume. When I rotate an encoder, it sends it’s message and the rack volume increments or decrements. I would like to do a continue and on the same message fire a display of the rack detail object (that you get when you highlight a rack) at the bottom of the screen. There may already be a binding action that would do that, but it’s not jumping out at me.

Hi John,

Sounds like what you need is a “Select Object” binding? I’m pretty sure this doesn’t exist at the moment but I’ll see if I can add it as part of the new view management stuff.

Hi John,

Finally got around to look into this. Next build (4329) will have “Select” binding points on Plugins, RackHosts, MediaPlayers and Routes.

Not sure if this exactly covers your needs though - let me know if not.

New build should be up in a day or two.
