Hello all, I’m trying to figure out something, don’t know if it’s possible to do. When I click on the Song Selector on the Controller Bar, it shows up my set list. I would like to bind a button on my keyboard controller to show up that list but I’m not able to figure it out.
What is the name of your input port for the Keylab? Is it the default “Main Keyboard”? Also when say song selector are you referring to the song grid view?
My Keylab is set as my default keyboard. I named it Arturia Keylab Essential 49 MK3
On the controller bar, at the bottom right, you have that button that shows the song’s title (song selector). If you click once on that button, a pop-up comes up and displays all of my songs, like a set list. I want to bind that action (click once) to a pad on my keylab. Hope you understand what I mean, sorry English is not my main language
Yes Sylvain, I understand now. "You want to open the hamburger pop up menu directly on that song selector button.
There is no way to do that it Cantabile currently.
It may not work for you but the closest thing you can do would be to view the set list grid instead because it can be opened from a binding to your Keyboard’s button. I used CC 52 (Momentary Button) for the source on this example but you would need to set your own CC number.
You could also make a request to add more capability to the song selector button on the Controller Bar to @brad. I flagged the post for him so we’ll see what he thinks when he can look at it.
Let me know if the set list grid works for you or not. I can probably add bindings to show the popup from the controller bar if you like… but curious how you see it working - do you also have bindings for arrow keys to pick songs using your external controller? Just wondering what the full use-case/flow is.
On my keylab essential I have this big rotary knob that I was able to bind to pick up songs from the popup. This part works. I was just wondering if there was a way of binding a button to trigger that popup from the controller bar and then select a song using that big encoder. If it’s something easy to add that extra binding then why not. I’ve been using the Solo version for quite a while and decided to move up to Performer about a week ago. Still discovering things…
