Has anyone managed to get bindings to load controller bar setups?
I’d like to swap out, for example, a guitar pedal board CB with a keys oriented CB.
Possible? TIA!

As far as I understand it Controller Bars are session oriented so you can’t change them per song or state but there is one trick that might help. There is the ability to hold 2 Controller Bars per session using the “Live” mode view to hold one and the regular editing mode view for the other. So you could have your guitar songs load to one view and your keys to the other. Just an idea till other options might become available.

I’m not quite getting that. Regardless of live mode or whether I use two different songs in a set list and switch in and out of edit mode, I can only keep the current controller bar in any view I’ve called thus far.
What’s the trick? Does it require a set list?

If you haven’t ever imported or built a new Controller Bar in the Live view it will show the current one selected in the edit view. So try this. Switch to the Live view, right click on the Controller Bar in a gray space with no buttons and select Layout>New from the hamburger menu.
name the new Bar and select how you want it to initialize.
Now build the bar up the way you want.
OR
If you already have layouts saved for the Guitar and Keys you can use the import on the hamburger menu to select the one you want in that view.
Once both the views are set you use a binding in each song to select which view is used by either enabling the Live view or not.
Dave - This looks like it will be the perfect stopgap until @brad can roll the layouts into the song 
Only trouble is, I cannot get the alternative view to stick. I’m importing a CB that I’ve already got - not using ‘new’.
Am I wrong in thinking that both of these CBs exist simultaneously and it’s simply switching in and out of Live, which displays whichever was the last CB existing in that mode? Live or Not Live?
Just can’t get it happening. Only the last loaded CB displays.
Obviously it’s user error, and I will be most happy to see this hack work! How did you find out?

No, you are correct in that expectation. It works like that for me here. You can toggle between the 2 views and each has the different control bar. Not sure why it’s not working for you. What version are you using?
Not sure but I remember wanting switchable controller bars per song or state and Brad explained that the edit and live view each support separate GUI layout including the control bar. The settings are saved in the main settings file as I recall, so I will see if I can track down the switch. Try setting both bars up, saving the song and shutting down Cantabile and restarting it to see if the Control bars stick then.
I found the control bar layout entries (normal & live) in the settings file so indeed it is an entry in that file for each view if you can’t get it going post your settings file in a zip file if you want me to check it.
