Just want to confirm that latency is not increased simply by selecting [Options] =>[Advanced] => [Show Loopback Ports] … latency is only increased if you use a loopback port … is that correct?

@brad stated some time ago that “audio or MIDI sent on this audio cycle will appear on the loopback port on the next.” - see this conversation:

There’s one audio cycle of latency on both audio and MIDI loopback ports. ie: audio or MIDI sent on this audio cycle will appear on the loopback port on the next. Brad

So I assume that this applies only to audio and MIDI flowing through loopback ports, not the rest within the song.
