Perhaps the selections in the DropDown menus might reflect the colours of the racks…
e.g. Acoustica Instruments 1 - Midi In would be blue etc…

I like this idea but I think having the background color would look very clashing with the rest of the UI. But what about a square or circle of the track color preceding the track name? I think it keeps the UI clean but still provides a handy quick identifier.
