The new Synthx is their emulation of the Elka Synthex.
It’s the third, after Xils-Labs and Cherry Audio. At $199 it doesn’t seem like a big deal, maybe they’ll include it in next V Collection.
It’s $69 for owners of V-Collection X and will be included in V-Collection 11. If they follow the same pricing strategy they have for the past several years when they pre-release their “Big Thing” synth ahead of the V-Collection, they usually discount the upgrade price by the amount you paid for the single synth, so it’s a wash.
Woow, this plugin is CPU hog. I see 50% audio load when playing some presets.
Recommended specs: 4 core CPU @3.4 GHz (4 GHz turbo-boost).
3.4GHz is not available in almost all laptops, it’s a typical desktop PC frequency.
Do they offer a demo? I don’t see one.
Yes, I noticed it is a heavy CPU load even on my DAW monster, so hopefully they will be doing some optimisation at some point
AFAIK they don’t have a demo version. As a V Collection 10 owner, Arturia sold me Synthx for €69 on day one.
[edit] it’s at €99/$99 now.
Yes, there is a Demo. Download via ASC or:

But:
With 4.202/4.203 only VST works. VST3 don’t load:
With an older Version 4.19x it works…
Thanks! Looking forward to checking it out.
