Alan White, Drummer for Yes, George Harrison, John Lennon, and many others, died on May 26th at the age of 72.

Sad news I have just myself posted on. Too many heroes going now (Vangelis last week)
I have said elsewhere I was not really.a fan of the current touring version of Yes and it was obvious that Alan was not well (and drumming is so physical), but that should not detract from what he achieved at his peak. RIP

I visited several YES concerts - one of my favourite bands.

My Dad use to tell me; Everyday you wake up and see the sun shine, you know it’s a going to be a good day. Now that I’m in my golden years, actually it’s more like the bronze years 
, I get great satisfaction when I see the sun shine now too. RIP

Just between us… nicest guy in the band by a wide margin (not counting the young guys like Billy and Juano). But drinking for years left him a little unhealthy. A giant talent and a gentleman. RIP, Alan!
