80s arturia patches and live sets kits

So I am putting together an 80s New Wave group for fun. In the process getting sounds, patches and layouts ready for live performance. I ran across this patch live performance kit for gig performer. I was wondering if anyone had seen anything like that for Cantabile? I was hoping he would show more detail about the GP setup.

These are sounds for Arturia. Unclear what Gig Performer has to do with it. Maybe there is some added value in the GIg Perrformer version, but the basic sounds should be usable as long as you have the matching Arturia plugin. Maybe I’m missing something. Let us know if you try using this stuff with Cantabile.

The GP part is the song setup with layers, splits and arpeggios. All things Cantabile will handle well. Just curious to see how others setup live performance. His description sounds like his stores all the information in GP and then passes it.

Watch the the video again and noticed Sledgehammer. I think the Korg M1 vst has those patches and splits all ready setup.

I’ve used a couple of this guys patches for my Yamaha MODX. They are completely done on that respective board. However if he has backing tracks running, they could be from the same or different boards and playing through whatever daw he may be using. I’d recommend you reach out to him as I’d found that he was more than happy to interact.

Everything you saw on GP can be done in Cantabile. The problem with using someone’s layout is, your rig will probably be different.

I have recently started performing 80s/90s gigs. I laid out splits, states, bindings, and other parts on paper. When I get everything written out, I start placing my ideas into Cantabile. It saves time, reduces mistakes, and keeps me from starting all over when I discover problems.

I also use MIDI when two hands are not enough. You should also keep an eye on CPU with many plugins. There are many synths I would love to use, but there are limits. I try to keep my plugins to a minimum, and use vsts that can mimic many other single synths. It is easy to get boggled down with too many plugins.
I also learned the hard way that all the vsts I want to use requires a Super Computer beyond my monetary limits.
I hardly ever use sampled plugins. Modeled plugins use less resources.
Simplicity is essential and will make your gig easier and fun.

Just my 2 cents
