How to let pass only "note OFF" events?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to create a filter filtering evrything (and in particular note ON events) except note OFF events? No success whatever I do…

Any idea?

Thanks!

Hervé

Some keyboards send note on with velocity 0 instead of note off. Maybe that helps?

Hey @dave_dore, why so complicated?

I don’t see the need for a two-level rack - one simple rack with a binding in it should do the trick:

All data fed into this rack gets ignored, since there is no route between input and output port. Only the binding listens to any note off commands and simply sends them out to the output port.

Done!

What I’m not sure of: does the “Note (Off)” binding also react to Note-On commands with velocity 0? Knowing @brad, I expect it should - @brad, can you confirm?

Cheers,

Torsten

Yea, I saw that and removed the post … your way is the right way!

Thanks

Yep, note on with velocity zero is treated as note off.
