Error "Unknown file type 'fxb'

Hi,
I save a setting from a plugin (anyway what kind of vsti) as fxb.
When i want to load it i get the error Error "Unknown file type ‘fxb’.

You would load that in from the plugin window itself. Or is that what you are doing?

Terry

i load that from the plugin window itself.
I get this error with every vsti that i tested.

Ah - can’t test it now. @brad will be along in a bit to help out on this. (A .fxb file is a bank of patches. They certainly should load!)

Terry

Thanks Terry,
i tested with another host without problems.

Hi @Wurlitzer

How are you trying to load the FXB file? You can’t just use File Open - you need to load it into a plugin instance, so… with go to Insert Plugin and browse for the FXB and insert from there, or… load the correct plugin, double click it and from the menu button in the top right of the plugin editor choose “Import Program or Bank…”;

Hey Brad,
From inside the plugin window. I tried it with other plugins and got the same message.
Steffen

Yup, same happened to me

  • loaded up the free Charlatan VSTi
  • used “Import Program or Bank” to load one of its factory fxb banks
  • got the same error message "Unknown file type ‘fxb’

Something seems to be wrong here…

Cheers,

Torsten

Fixed in the new build - great!

Thanx @brad!
