I am a keyboardist in Southern California in performing bands. I have been a user of Cantabile since 2014 for live performances with zero problems live (so far). I have a Montage M7, Studiologic SL-88 and I combine hardware and software synths to offer bands, with whom I play, the right sound for each song. Favorite Soft Synths, IKmm B-3X and Omnisphere 3 (with Keyscape). The Yamaha Montage M keyboard is my favorite keyboard on the planet due to its diversity and stellar on-board audio interface, so I can integrate Soft Synths with hardware.

When I play events with multiple bands, other keyboardists are surprised to see me using a PC as my VST player. I tell them that it is all because of Cantabile Software. They respond, “I am sure you experience some crashes during shows,” to which I respond, “It has never happened, so far (knock on wood), but I have seen Mac’s fail during live performances (Pat Metheny’s keyboardist).” I encourage other keyboardists to try using a PC with Cantabile, I am confident they would change their mind about PC VSTi Players.
