Sorry - another question concerning rack states: how can I achieve that each rack state keeps its own Volume level? If I change the volume level of one rack state it works for all states what is not intended.
I think states behaviour is the clue but I don’t understand the function completely.
Hi Christoph,
The example below shows how to set up what you want to do. The Output ports slot inside the rack is what must be used to set the different gains on each state. To set it up open the rack, select the Output gain slot and then check the Output Gain checkbox in State behaviors panel. Then set each state’s Output Port gain levels and save the rack.

Hi Dave,
thank you for your advice. In my setup it looks a little different and I’m a little confused about it.
On the “State - Routing”-Screen it looks like this:
The MASTERKEYBOARD MOXF8 routes to the internal sound engine of the MOXF on CH 1.
When I choose the output ports I see this:
and a change of output gain has no effect on the volume
What I want to achieve is the following.
You see the states bindings:
I like to set the control 7 volume for each state - is that possible?

Hi Christoph,
After reading your post I can help but I am not sure if you also want to send a different banked patch change on each state change too. The principles of this explanation are the same either way so here goes.
You need to make a binding for each state change (from my count 7 in you rack states list), then using the “Enabled” State Behaviors function you will be able to disable all the unwanted bindings for that state but enable only the one you wanted. Each state will have to have the “Enable” checkbox selected in State behaviors for the binding.
In this example 2 state changes are shown but there are 5 state changes each with it’s own cc7 binding, the pattern would continue with the following state changes.
state 1
state 2
If you want to do the same with the Banked program changes you would use the same technique. I hope that helps and that I understood correctly.

That’s it, Dave!! Thank you very much for this very helpful advice. It’s exactly what I wanted to achieve!
