Selecting and actioning several objects

Forgive me if I’ve missed the obvious, but having tried several combinations of standard key commands, shift+click, cntrl +click etc, I have yet to find the trick to selecting all objects between the first and last selected.
Cntrl + click allows non-contiguous selection, one object at a time.
Shift+ click should, in ‘standard’ computer parlance, allow selection of all intermediate objects.
In addition to this, attempting to apply the same color to all the selected objects results in only one object accepting the command.
What have I missed?
Cheers!

Adrian

I can Shift + left click and change color to all selected in setlist. Is that what you were talking about?

Hey Cork

It’s the entries in the Main Panel that are the issue for me.
I can multi select a contiguous run of objects by shift up/down arrows. A new object is added with every press of the arrows.
Here’s what doesn’t happen; I can’t click an entry, jump down ten entries, hold shift and have all intervening entries highlight. In addition, the contextual menu is no longer available to multiple selections. Cntrl click several items only allows the last selection to access, and be influenced by, the contextual menu.

Result, not possible to color multiple entries.

Hi @Ade

Yep, there’s some weirdness in the main panel - mostly because of some limitations in the list view control that it’s build on - the interaction between the controls in each row and list management tend to butt heads. The plan is to address this when I move Cantabile to GuiKit2 - the UI library I’ve written as part of the OS X port.

Hi Adrian

I was starting to experience what you were talking about when Brad chimed in and saved the day! I would have stayed up half the night trying to make it work…thanks for letting me sleep tonight Brad!
