If I make a modification to the current program in a plugin via its UI, Cantabile appears unaware of the change, and so doesnt mark the rack/song as having unsaved changes. I typically then save manually, but since there’s no feedback of anything happening I never really know for sure that Cantabile hasn’t just decided there are no changes to save, and so not bothered.
Is there any way Cantabile can detect these changes reliably (maybe by checking the plugin chunk after the plugin UI loses focus?)
If not, would it be possible to have some feedback that a manual save has done something, including saving the modified plugin state?
Aha, that’s true @brad, thanks! I hadn’t realised this applied to GUI plugin changes - I thought it was mostly for allowing you to prompt or not prompt on changes made via MIDI. So this will solve the problem when setting up songs etc - just have to remember to switch back to prompting to save only on significant changes before playing live with controller input coming in.
