"Polyphonic-izer" MIDI filter or plugin

Hello to all … first post for me. Cantabile is something of a revelation!

FIRST QUERY: Camelot Pro has a feature whereby polyphonic input can be spread among multiple mono-VST or hardware synths. So … you can load up 5-instances of a Roland SH-2 VST, and create a polyphonic instrument from it. I believe there are options for voice-allocation like round-robin, random, etc.

Is there something in Cantabile which facilitates this configuration? Am I just not seeing it?
I’ve looked for a 3rd-party plugin to no avail.

Many thanks for any replies,

ZT

Hi Allen and Welcome!

It’s been discussed but there is nothing like that currently available as far as I know. Is there a manual for Camelot Pro that explains their implementation of this feature? I saw references to multiple zones for multiple vsts on the website but nothing about the “polyphonic-izer” you speak of.

Thanks

there are 2 options for MIDI vsts:
pizMIDI’s midiPolyphony
reajs Tale poly_mono_midi_router

i used to use the pizMIDI one, but it’s a little ‘note-stealy’.
the Tale one has fewer options but just seems to work nicely.
