I was testing Cantabile Build 3110. If I change buffersize in Cantabile 3, the driver from my MOTU UltraLite-mk3 HYBRID chrashes complet. I have to reinstall the Motu Driver after that for correct working. Is there somone with same experience?
Hi Bladi,
I don’t have same unit but have id22 from Audient. It will allow me to change the sample rate from Cantabile options screen but will not allow buffer changes… so for that i must call up the Audient control app that came with the interface. I can’t crash the driver because it won’t let me see the buffer size choices in Cantabile just the current one i chose from the Audient app. I guess Cantabile works with what the interface and drivers allow. Brad or someone else might know exactly why. For now I would just change the settings from the ASIO panel for the MOTU interface. Then you may have to open the options and close again (if you’re already running Cantabile) or restart C3 to let the settings take effect, the new settings should be visible in the options after you reopen the options.

That’s interesting - I have the same experience as Dave, and I have an UltraLite-Mk3 Hybrid. Cantabile only offers me one option - the buffer size set in the MOTU control app.
Hard to imagine why you’d need to reinstall the MOTU driver - doesn’t a reboot fix it?
Hi Bladi,
I don’t really have much to add except to make sure you’ve got all the latest drivers. Also if you’d like to send me crash dumps and/or debug logs from Cantabile I can take a look and see if I can spot anything obvious.
Brad
Hi
Thank you for your requests. Next days, I will make a crash dump over this Problem, so maby Brad can see more details.
If you’ve had some crashes with any MOTU interface (I have both the Ultralite mk3 hybrid and 828 mk3 hybrid), then simply re-installing your drivers will not do the job completely.
Take a look at this post I made at Motunation.com for the best procedure. http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=36522&start=30

I recognize that error - it comes when the sample rate has been changed on the hardware from what Cantabile expected since the last running. You simply close the error message, open Tools/options and watch the audio setting update itself to the new (correct) setting, save the new settings and re-start Cantabile.
Glad to hear you are up and running now!
