Camtasia and Ableton Live

I’m trying to find another alternative for playing backing tracks. One of the bands I’m in has standardized on Ableton Live and the leader really wants to put everything into Arrangement view so he/we can markers. Unfortunately Live doesn’t have a “view markers” windlow like nearly every other DAW out there, so it’s far more difficult to manage.

Has anyone used Cantabile to manage the Live locators in Arrangement view? I know you can MIDI map controller value or MIDI key to do this.

Anyone tried this?

Cantabile transmit to another program like Ableton

Is there a way to use cantabile to pass midi messages to Ableton on the same computer. Here is why. I would like to launch clips from Ableton, scroll through clips or launch songs (I already do this with my MPK261). I have a UR28M and I have Cantabile and Ableton running through the same audio interface simultaneously. I just want to know if I can route all my midi to Cantabile and somehow pass some of it to another program. Right now I have different midi devices to trigger each software respe…

Ill have to look at this a bit closer when I get a chance to validate it will work in Arrangement View (as opposed to Session view).
