Build 4309 - odd behavior Saving All?

I just installed 4309 and when I do my normal CTRL+SHIFT+S it shows as saving 32 or more files. But when I use the Save All from the File dropdown it operates normally, saving just 3 or 4 files which is normal, depending on what I changed.

Even if I CTRL+SHIFT+S on a song with no changes whatsoever, it still saves a bunch of files. TBH I haven’t dug into it yet, but I’m wondering…Was there an intentional change to that process, maybe I missed that post? Or maybe one of my preferences got changed?
Thanks!
Tom

I saw this too and wondered what had changed, thanks for posting about it Tom. Probably a question for @brad

I can’t think of anything off hand that might have caused this and I just checked the changes leading up to 4309 and couldn’t see anything obvious. Things changed a little after 4309 (as it introduced save Song and Racks command).

Did this start in build 4309 and what build were you on before?

What command do you have bound to Ctrl+Shift+S in Tools → Options → Hot Keys?

Brad

Thanks… I was on 4303 before. Good point on Hot keys, I’ll take a look later today. IIRC I didn’t ever change or add any hot keys for Ctrl+shift+S but I’ll check.
Tom

Nothing else assigned to Ctrl+Shift+S, just Save All. And selecting Save All from the file dropdown also does the same thing, saves a bunch of files (31 this morning). But after saving all, if I immediately save again it without doing anything else it saves just 3 files, which is about normal for me. Thanks,
Tom

Maybe you could send Brad a log with that activity in it for analysis. My rig is currently apart for maintenance.

Yep I’ll do that right now, thanks Dave

I think I saw something similar; and I was confused at the time as the only differences were white-space in the json, and the saved-by version number (I think).

I have found that if a rack is highlit, for example just clicking once on any rack, And you do ctrl+S, it saves normally… Just the song and any rack changes you made. A little different than it used to be but not a big deal
