Im James, middle aged ex techno dj in the north of England.
Thought i’d get things going in this section with my modest rig.
Dell i5 8gb notebook used only for rig.(Bought used off ebay for £120) Done all the audio tweaks to get best speed and usb power.
Cantabile Solo v2 (x64)
Alesis Control Hub (audio out only) interface running at 512 samples.
Subzero 25 key going the interface midi.
Nektar impact 49 connected via usb. Only just got this so still setting up to remote control Cantabile.
Gorilla 2 tier stand plus premium chipboard shelf!
Just got express card usb expander so I am going to run both keys direct to laptop.The Dell only has two as standard.
Just done one gig so far with my band Church of Non Believers.Not been in a band before and it was a total buzz!
We have quite a mixed sound ,alternative/new wave/retro. Influences from Talking heads to New Order. We an old bunch!
